New build, with provisions for native flora and fauna

Five new build, three-bedroom bungalows with views to open countryside near the village of Prees have been launched to the market by Balfours.

Aptly named “The Sett,” the development takes its name from a nearby Badger sett and reflects the developments nurturing of nature, not only throughout the site development, but future proofing too, that all flora and fauna can live in harmony with the properties and their inhabitants. Indeed, the wildlife creatures have gained additional new homes too!

The five properties have also been developed with energy saving glazing, air source heat and solar PV panels. Three of the properties, known as The Maple design, are laid out with all rooms accessed off the main hallway.

To the rear there is a spacious open plan kitchen diner with dedicated lounge area, benefitting from two pairs of French doors to the patio and garden. There are three ground floor bedrooms, one en-suite, together with a family bathroom and utility from which the integral garage can be accessed. The properties are marketed with a guide price of £400,000.

Two additional designs are found in The Oak, which offers separate lounge and an additional cloakroom. The Elm design boasts a dormer with open plan kitchen, diner, lounge and a master suite on the first floor. Each of these two properties are marketed with a guide price of £420,000.

Balfours Abigail Barker, comments: “The new properties are turnkey throughout and with quality kitchen and bathroom fittings. The location offers a rural ambience, yet village amenities including shop, post office, primary school with nursery and train station are within walking distance. Wem and Whitchurch are ten minutes in the car, while there are great offerings at Hawkstone Park Follies and Alderford Lake, both under five miles away.

“Add to this the developers work with ecologists to provide a refuge for flora and fauna known as a hibernaculum and you have a truly 21st century development with green credentials,” Abigail adds. For more information call Balfours on 01743 353511.
