Mid-Wales mature woodland launched to market

Two mature woodlands extending nearly  38 acres have been launched to the market by Balfours with a guide price of £250,000.

Located 8-mile equidistance from Llanidloes and Newtown, Green Wood and Cwm Y Garth Woodlands are just 2 miles from Llandinam, with easy access to the A470 trunk road. Cwm Y Garth extends 30.32 acres comprising mostly of conifers; while to the north Green Wood covers 7.54 acres.

Balfours’ Cathrine Barre Comments: “These two pieces of woodland offer an excellent investment opportunity and are offered for sale as a whole or in two lots.

“Cym Y Garth comprises mainly of Douglas fir, Western Hemlock, Norway Spruce, Corsican Pine and Japanese Larch and much of the softwood dates back nearly 70 years to 1959. The site ranges from 160 – 260 metres above sea level with a stream running through. It benefits from shared access with roadside stacking available.

“Green Wood which is mainly planted to Douglas Fir some 35 years ago, also has a small stand of larch at the centre and mixed broadleaves along the boundaries and to the western end. This wood rises from 160 metres to 210 metres, and access is available across the field to the east,” adds Cathrine Barre. For more information and to view call Balfours on 01584 707100.
