Heat Too Much? An Air Conditioned Bungalow Offers The Solution

If the heat is getting to you – there’s a rare chance to buy an air conditioned home, near Shrewsbury, launched to the market this week.

“Wyndley is a three bedroom bungalow set in 1.6 acres near Shawbury at Edgebolton, which with the heatwave set to continue, provides a very appealing and unusual selling point,” says agent Charlie Giffard, of Balfours.

Vendors Andy and Julie Willder installed the air condition ten years ago, Mr Willder explains: “Having come from a commercial background in retail, all our shops had air conditioning to keep staff and customers comfortable. So ten years ago when we were putting an extension on the bungalow we thought we may as well be comfortable at home as well as at work.

He continues: Before installing the air conditioning at home, there had been plenty of summer evenings when I had thought about returning with my sleeping bag to the shop, just to be comfortable over night!

An added bonus to the air conditioning is that it doubles up to emit warm air in the winter, if extra heat is needed. Mr Willder adds: “The bungalow has oil central heating, but we can flick the air con across to warm and get an instant heat boost to specific rooms.”

Charlie concludes: “With the hugely variable weather we have been experiencing, including the Beast from the East this spring, I am sure there are many who would haveappreciated a little boost.”
