BECL (Balfours Environmental Consultants Limited) is a dedicated consultancy team with a wide range of specialist experience and knowledge in environmental matters. Balfours recognises that the growing burden of regulatory compliance is in danger of stifling business and development, and that a practical, efficient approach is needed.
BECL was formed with the remit for undertaking asbestos and other environmental assessments. The skills within the team have enabled the consultancy to advise upon the following:

In the last few years BECL have inspected over 750 properties for asbestos. The sites have included: a listed station, sheltered accommodation and racing stables.
The work we undertake includes site investigations; surveys; desktop studies; due diligence; risk assessments; characterisation studies; monitoring; management plans; auditing; and regulatory compliance.
With an eye to the future BECL make the most of latest technology. Among the equipment currently used to provide a more efficient and cost effective service are handheld data capture devices, CAD drawings and electronic mapping techniques.
