Balfours are pleased to have completed the extension of a Grade 2 listed cottage in North Shropshire. The project comprised of an extension to provide a new utility room and ground floor shower room. An outbuilding was also converted to provide an additional bedroom and ensuite bathroom.

Balfours Building Design and Project Management have been working with the National Trust and one of its tenants, Philippa Home, to secure planning consent for the conversion of a redundant farm building at Upper Brompton near Cross Houses to a cookery school.

Over the last few months Balfours Building Design and Project Management team have overseen the completion of works to a barn conversion at Rushbury in the South Shropshire Hills. The barn will provide character accommodation through the incorporation of existing traditional features. The barn will be available for rent in the near future.

The building contract for the conversion of a range of disused traditional farm buildings has been completed. The newly converted buildings have been handed over to Joyce and Jeremy Jagger who will run their farm shop, tea room and visitor from the premises.

Balfours Building Design and Project Management department are supervising the construction of a substantial new house in Herefordshire. Brickwork is complete and the roof structure and covering will be completed in the next four weeks. Hopefully, the weather will be kind. Once the roof is on installation of windows and the services will commence.

Balfours Building Design and Project Management team have obtained Building Regulations approval, prepared the specifications and sought competitive tenders.
